5.4 Return Requisitions and Orders

If, after review, you are not happy with the document and wish to reject it back to the requisitioner without making any changes, click the ‘Return To Requisitioner’ button. A notification email message will be sent to the requisitioner informing them of your action.

The document will not continue through the approval process until the requisitioner has made the appropriate changes and re-submitted it.

By returning a document it will be sent back to the START of the approval plan and when re-submitted will follow the same course of approval, possibly (depending upon new or edited criteria) re-visiting earlier steps.

When a document is returned, you must indicate why you are returning it in the ‘Comments/Feedback’ box. If no text is entered a warning message is displayed. Click ‘OK’, enter your comments and click the ‘Return To Requisitioner’ button once more.

If, after the requisitioner updates it, the document still falls within the criteria required for your approval, it will be sent to you a second time for approval. This process will continue until you finally and fully approve the document or the requisitioner cancels the request.
